Description
A passive, studio quality 3-band guitar EQ in a mini pedal.
What is it?
A very high quality, completely passive 3-band equaliser with controls for treble, middle and bass frequencies.
How does it sound?
Inspired by the equalisers found on the Fender Super Reverb and Twin Reverb “Blackface” amplifiers, the Yak Face has 3 powerful controls which offer a broad, smooth sweep through a huge range of tonal variations. Bass frequencies can soar from tight to thunderous, mids from scooped to punchy, and treble from warm to sparkling with ease. The sonic ability of the Yak Face will truly put all your existing tone controls to shame.
Unique features
The Yak Face Mini utilises a vintage-style passive EQ which offers a sweeter, more natural sound than modern active EQs, which tend to sound clinical and cold. The controls are effortlessly simple, yet deceptively powerful when combined with our high quality analogue make-up gain stage. The result is a wonderful EQ that has it all- excellent noise performance, beautiful analogue sound, powerful tone shaping, and a very intuitive interface. The passive version does not require any power supply or batteries.
Applications
Whether you’re looking to tweak the sound of a guitar, a pedal, an amplifier or a speaker cabinet, this is an incredibly powerful tone shaping tool that’s very quick and simple to use. It’s ideal for perfecting your tones at home, in the studio, or on stage.
Power requirements
No power required.
Signal chain placement
It must be connected after any buffered effects unit in order to operate. Combine it with other effects to sculpt their sound, or use it as a standalone EQ.
